Camel - Al Jamal

For over 3500 years camels have been providing the Bedouin with transport, meat, clothing, milk and fuel, enabling life to exist within the harsh desert of the Empty Quarter.
Fat stored in their humps can break down into water and energy, giving camels their legendary ability to travel up to 160km without water.
Locally, camels are highly appreciated for their healthy low-fat milk. Bedouin tribes believe camel milk has great curative powers when the camel´s diet consists of certain plants.
